Trash

Trash day is every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for our community. Recycle day is only on Fridays. If you need a trash can or recycle bin please contact Patriot Disposal. The cost for the trash can is your responsibility and not Sudley Village HOA. If you request a special pick up please contact Patriot Disposal. Trash contact number is 703-257-7100.

Please refer to the Prince William County "Recycling at Home" site to get details on what is acceptable to recycle and how to prepare your items for recycling.

To keep our community rodent and pest free, please place your trash in the cans marked HOA and don’t just toss it on the ground. The HOA cans are there for this specific purpose and are not to be removed from the pad.

Bulk vs. Special Pickups

Bulk Pickups

Bulk items are items that can be disposed of using our regular trash trucks providing regular waste pick up services. Some examples of regular bulk include:

• Mattresses

•Bed Frames (disassembled)

• Ikea Furniture (disassembled)

• Couches

•Coffee tables

• Lamps

A good rule of thumb is, if it is not an electronics item and it is of reasonable size (meaning it appears that it will fit into our regular trash truck), it will be considered regular trash. It is always okay for the resident to call our customer service line at 703-257-7100 and ask. We prefer that the resident not do more than one of these items on a single trash service day but rather break it up over multiple trash days.

Special Pickups

Special Pickups are generally items that cannot fit into regular trash trucks and require a scheduled pickup date with a quoted fee. These items require disposal at a facility other than the landfill or transfer stations. They include but are not limited to:

• Televisions

• Electronics (VCRs, DVD Players, Stereo Equipment)

•Scrap Metals (Grills, Swing Sets, Bicycles, Metal Outdoor Chairs)

• Construction debris (requires an estimate based on overall weight)

• Tires

• Carpet

• Ceiling Fans

• Appliances (Refrigerators, Dishwashers, Dryers, Washers, Stoves)

•Microwaves

• Sinks

•Toilets

• Hot Water Heaters

• Hot Tubs (Jacuzzis)

• Batteries

•Entertainment Centers (large)

• Armoires

• Lawnmowers

• Umbrellas

• Snow Blowers

• Basketball Hoops

• Exercise Bikes & Tread Mills

• Motor Oils

• Home Gym’s
